Antique English Staffordshire "Marguerite" Transferware Oyster Plate
This lovely transferware oyster plate was made by the English firm of Royal Staffordshire Pottery. It has the pattern name "Marguerite." The pattern is an array of flowers and leaves in varying shades of red and pink. The center sauce well receives the most attention but each of the six wells has its share of colors, and each well is different. The wells are separated by different kinds of shells. On the back is the complete company mark along with the pattern name and "Burslem England." The diameter is 9.5 inches, and the oyster plate is in outstanding condition.
